About this product
Shipping kit for framed artwork and other flat items
The FedEx Medium Art Box is designed to help pack framed artwork for shipping, moving, or storage. It accommodates compatible frames measuring up to 28 x 21 x 2.5 inches and includes inserts that help hold the contents in place inside the outer shipping box.
Once assembled, the complete box measures 33.63 x 37.25 x 4.75 inches, allowing room for the included protective components. Measure the full frame, including molding, hanging hardware, and other protruding parts, before selecting the box.
- Pull the corrugated inserts out.
- Place your artwork in the center and add any packing papers if necessary.
- Insert the assembly into the shipping box and seal with tape.
- Once assembled, the shipping box measures 33.6" x 26.5" x 4.8"
- Five kits per carton, FedEx Item 163092.
- A larger art box is available (item 2400029) for artwork that measures up to 44" x 32" x 2.5"
How to pack framed artwork
Protect the front of the frame with a soft, non-abrasive material and add extra cushioning around the corners, edges, and glass or acrylic surface. Position the framed item within the included inserts so it remains centered and does not move freely inside the box.
Assemble the outer carton according to the provided instructions and seal all openings securely with packaging tape. Confirm that the packed item fits without forcing the box closed before shipping.
