A visit to a passport acceptance facility is required for all lost, child passports, and first-time passports.

Expedited Travel, LLC is listed on travel.state.gov as one of the U.S. Department of State’s Registered Courier and Expediting Companies.

  • This service is not intended for routine processing; it’s best for travelers on tight timelines or those seeking assistance throughout the application process. Standard processing can be done directly through the U.S. Passport Agency.
  • Applications submitted through RushMyPassport still undergo the same federal review process. This service does not bypass required security protocols.

How does this process work?

FedEx Office works with RushMyPassport for all your passport needs. RushMyPassport expedites and reviews your required documents, and FedEx Office offers passport photos, as well as printing and shipping of your application. FedEx Office has partnered with RushMyPassport since 2019 to make expedited services more convenient. Service fees are in addition to government fees and vary based on application type and processing speed. Service fees are paid at checkout, while government fees are paid separately by check or money order.

What FedEx Office and RushMyPassport cannot do

While FedEx Office and RushMyPassport can help streamline and speed up the process, there are important limitations to keep in mind:

  • RushMyPassport is not a government agency: They do not issue passports, but instead serve as a private Courier and Expediter registered with the U.S. Department of State Hand-Carry Program.
  • No processing guarantees: While RushMyPassport can accelerate the submission process and help reduce delays, final issuance is solely determined by the U.S. Department of State.
  • Not for routine service: This service is best suited for travelers on tight timelines and for those seeking assistance throughout the application process. Standard processing can be done directly through the U.S. Passport Agency.
  • No bypassing of security protocols: All applications submitted through RushMyPassport still undergo the same federal review process.

How do I know if my passport is eligible to be renewed?

You are eligible for a passport renewal if ALL of the following are true:

  • Your passport is currently valid or has expired within the last five years.
  • Your passport is in your possession.
  • Your passport is not damaged.
  • Your passport was issued when you were age 16 or older.

What do I need to get a passport renewal?

For an adult passport renewal, answer a few questions through the online process with RushMyPassport and then visit your local FedEx Office. Our FedEx Office team can provide your new passport photo and help print out your application forms and the shipping label provided by RushMyPassport through the online process. Your expired or soon-to-expire passport and your check payment for the government fee must be included when shipping the required documentation to RushMyPassport.

What if my name is different from what is listed on my passport?

If your name is different from what is listed on your birth certificate or has changed since the issuance of your most recent passport, you can still renew your passport. When completing your passport application, use your current legal name. In addition, you will need to provide the original name change document, such as a marriage certificate, divorcee decree, or adoption paperwork.

Where is the nearest FedEx Office location that can take my passport photo?

Passport photo services are available at any FedEx Office location nationwide. For $14.95, a team member will take two government-compliant, 2" x 2" photos for your passport application.

You can also get a passport photo online through RushMyPassport for the same price, with options for an instant digital download, a printed photo shipped to you, or both for an additional cost.

What is the 6-month validity rule?

Most countries require your US passport to have a minimum of 6-months validity after your intended return date. Please review your expiration date to see if a renewal is needed. The purpose of this validity is to safeguard against unforeseen delays you may face in leaving the country you are visiting. The State Department recommends that U.S. citizens renew their passports approximately nine months before the date of expiration.

Is FedEx Office a passport acceptance facility?

No. FedEx Office is not a Passport Acceptance Facility. An Acceptance Facility is usually located within the county clerk's office or US Post Office. A separate fee of $35 is collected at this visit. You can find your nearest passport acceptance agent here.

What is the refund policy?

If you are not eligible for expedited passport services or wish to no longer continue with the process, full refunds are available. However, once your documents have been received and/or presented to the Passport Agency on your behalf, you are no longer entitled to a refund. Contact RushMyPassport to request your refund:
