The most common rack card size is 4" x 9", which fits standard brochure displays and literature holders. This format is ideal for showcasing services, contact details, promotions, and visual branding in a compact space.


Can I design my own rack card or use a template?

Yes. You can upload your own rack card design or choose from professionally designed rack card templates to customize with your branding, text, and images.


What type of paper is best for rack cards?

Rack cards are typically printed on 100 lb. glossy or matte cover stock. Glossy paper enhances color and images with a vibrant finish, while matte offers a more classic, professional look. Water-resistant options are also available for durability in humid or high-contact environments.


What are rack cards used for?

Rack cards are used to promote products, services, events, or locations in a clear, visually appealing format. They're commonly displayed in brochure stands, distributed at trade shows, left at point-of-sale counters, or included in mailers and product shipments.


What’s the process for printing on both sides of a rack card?

To create a double-sided rack card, you'll need to provide two files, one for each side of the design.

Here's how to prep your files:

  • PDF format: You can upload either a single 2-page PDF or two individual PDFs, each with one page.
  • Image format: Upload two separate image files—one for the front and one for the back.

To begin, click "Upload a File" on the product page and upload both files simultaneously. Acceptable combinations include a 2-page PDF, two 1-page PDFs, two image files, or a mix of formats.

After uploading, you'll be asked how you'd like to apply your files:

  • Combine Files: Automatically assigns the first page as the front and the second page as the back.
  • Keep Files Separate: Lets you manually assign which file goes on each side.

If you choose Combine Files, you'll proceed directly to the configuration steps.
If you choose 'Keep Files Separate', you'll be directed to 'My Projects', where you can drag and drop your files into position. The first file dropped becomes the front; the second becomes the back.

Once your files are in place, click 'Set Up Project' to complete personalizing and placing your order.


Can I include a QR code on my rack card?

Yes, you can include a QR code in your rack card design. If you’d like to direct customers to a website, coupon, menu, or form, simply add the QR code to your design before uploading your file. Just be sure the QR code is high-resolution and positioned clearly for easy scanning. FedEx Office does not currently offer QR code generation, your uploaded file must already include it.
