In-store computer access at FedEx Office

In-store computer access at FedEx Office gives you a convenient way to work on documents, designs, and digital files using self-service workstations.

Available at select locations, these computers provide access to standard software applications, including Microsoft® Office and Adobe® Creative Suite, along with internet access, email, cloud storage, and USB support. You can use the stations to create, edit, or save files, with printing available if and when you need it.

How in-store computer access works

Getting started with in-store computer access is simple and self-service. Here’s what to expect during your visit.

  1. Choose a computer access mode.
When you arrive at a FedEx Office location with computer access, start your session at a self-service workstation. You’ll be prompted to select one of three modes: Complimentary, Everyday Essentials, or Creative Professional, depending on the tools and software you need.
  2. Confirm your session time and payment (if applicable)
Complimentary mode is free to use. For paid modes, you’ll select how long you plan to use the computer. A temporary pre-authorization is placed based on the chosen mode and time. Any unused time is credited back at the end of your session.
  3. Work on your files
Once your session begins, you can create, edit, and save files using the software included with your chosen mode. Stations support internet access, email, cloud storage, and USB drives, so you can work on documents or designs even if you don’t plan to print.
  4. Print if and when you’re ready.
Printing is optional. If you choose to print, you can send files to nearby self-service printers. Printing requires a separate payment and pre-authorization based on the number of prints and the selected paper size. Printing prices vary by store.
  5. End your session and save your work.
When you’re finished, be sure to save or send your files. Files are not stored on the workstation after your session ends, helping protect your privacy.

Frequently asked questions

What is in-store computer access?

In-store computer access lets you use self-service computers at select FedEx Office locations to work on documents, designs, and digital files. Depending on the mode you choose, you can access productivity software, design tools, the internet, and file storage options. Printing is optional and priced separately.

How do I choose the right computer access mode?

Choose a mode based on what you need to do:

  • Complimentary is best for short, FedEx account–related tasks.
  • Everyday Essentials includes internet access, email, and Microsoft® Office.
  • Creative Professional includes everything in Everyday Essentials, plus Adobe® Creative Suite and scanning.

Modes are selected on the computer before starting your session.

How do I connect my phone to the computer?

To connect your own device to the all-access station, you will need to bring your own attachment. You can also email a document to yourself from your phone or upload it to the cloud.

What can I access for free from an all-access station?

Complimentary mode provides free access for short, FedEx Office–related tasks, including:

  • Logging in to your FedEx account
  • Self-service shipping and printing shipping labels
  • Accessing FedEx Office online services
  • Creating or managing projects on the FedEx Office website
  • Accessing passport-related services
  • Printing a boarding pass (available at select locations)

Do I have to print to use the computers?

No. You can use the computers to create, edit, save, or send files without printing. Printing is optional and available if needed.

How does pricing and payment work?

Complimentary mode is free. Paid modes are charged by the minute based on the mode and session length you select. A temporary pre-authorization is placed at the start of your session, and any unused amount is credited back after your session ends. Pricing may vary by location.

How do printing charges work?

Printing is charged separately from computer access. If you choose to print, a separate pre-authorization is placed based on the number of prints and paper size selected. Printing prices vary by store.

Can I switch modes or extend my session once it starts?

No. Once a session begins, the selected mode and session length can’t be changed. If you need a different mode or more time, end your session and start a new one.

What file access options are supported?

You can access files using USB drives, cloud storage, or email. Files can be saved during your session, but are erased from the computer after you log out.

Is computer access available at all FedEx Office locations?

Computer access is available at select FedEx Office locations. Availability can be confirmed on your local store page.

Can I complete an online notarization using an in-store computer?

No. Online notarization requires a device with audio and video capabilities, which are not available on in-store computers. If you complete your online notarization on a personal device, a FedEx Office location can help you print your documents afterward using email, cloud storage, or a USB drive.

Do the computers have cameras or webcams?

No. In-store computers do not have built-in cameras. If your task requires video or camera access, you’ll need to use a personal device.

How do I scan a document onto the computer?

At locations that offer scanning, you can use the flatbed scanner located near the computer access stations to scan documents directly to the computer. Scanning availability depends on the mode selected and the services offered at that location. Instructions are provided at each scanner. Self-service copiers may also offer scanning, but those scans are sent to email or storage and do not appear directly on the computer.
